| I like this instructional video a lot. It is extremely thorough and by the time you watch it once you will have remembered the sequence of important elements. You will want to go back and review though. This might be easy with the DVD, but using Windows Media Player, there is no way to conveniently skip to a desired section.
One other point: I've windsurfed once since watching the video, in pretty gnarly 4.4 conditions. Trying to jibe as Dasher teaches in the video has temporarily screwed up my jibe technique. I find that it's essential to do dry land practice before trying new techniques on the water. I omitted this step and paid the price! |

Dasher focuses on what's important, without adding unnecessary moves or showdowns of pro windsurfer. Dasher's other DVD, Waterstarting, is also a gem. I recommend those to anybody who is just into the footstraps and is looking for the next step. |

| The step jibe is very clearly explained and demonstrated from many camera angles. Whilst the video consentrates on the step jibe with larger boards and sails most of the techniques are also applicable to strap to strap jibes with smaller boards and sails. A good video that keeps your attention. |

| Dasher's voice will make you sleep if the instruction was not perfect like it is. It helped me a lot getting the plaining jibe right. If you can't do the planing jibe, this is the one for you. Don't get anoyed by the background music. |

| I think this is probably the clearest teaching video I have viewed on carve jibing. Breaking it down into 12 steps seems to stick with you when you are out on the water and the pressure is on. |

I like the way the carve has been broken down into the 12 stages, and the problems highlighted for not doing the steps correctly helped me easily identify where I was going wrong in my gybes. Before I was making 20% of my high speed gybes, now I am making 60%! |
