Jerry Rice: Wide Receiver
Football Video: Jerry Rice: Wide Receiver

DESCRIPTION
Jerry Rice is widely regarded as the greatest wide receiver ever to play professional football. He has been a member of three Super Bowl championship teams and a perennial Pro Bowl player (having been invited to the Pro Bowl twelve times) and All-Pro. In recognition of his excellence, the Sporting News has twice named him the NFL Player of the Year.

How many NFL records can one player hold? In 1994, Jerry passed the legendary Jim Brown to set the all-time record for touchdowns and currently has 192 touchdown pass receptions to his credit and counting! Jerry has had fourteen seasons with 1,000 or more yards in pass receptions - the most in history. Jerry set a record of 13 straight games with one or more touchdown receptions with 22 and shares the single-game record for most touchdown receptions with five.

In addition to his numerous other post-season career and individual game records, Jerry holds the Super Bowl career records for most points (42), most touchdowns (7), most touchdown receptions (7), most receptions (28), most combined yards (527) and most yards receiving (512). Jerry also holds Super Bowl single-game records for most touchdown receptions (3) and most yards receiving (215) and shares records for most points (18), most touchdowns (3) and most receptions (11).

Jerry has achieved his success through a rigorous training program and devotion to his sport that have earned him a reputation as the hardest-working player in football. He approaches every drill and every practice as if they were game situations.

In his "All Pro Sports Football Series" video, Jerry shares his life story and covers the conditioning, the techniques and the positive mental attitude that have made him one of the greatest players of the game.

Average Customer Review:
Good Video
Brian
Maybe those who can't catch beachballs shouldn't be watching anyway, or at least take note and replay the catches over and over to learn what he is doing to catch the ball. I expected this video to give more details on footwork for those who have no idea...it's just better to keep replaying and watching his footwork on every play he does. This video is good, but not great.
A nice intro for WR before going into organized football
Lionel
Mostly an ode to Jerry Rice, with stretching, an intro to pass routes and combo routes, blocking, drills, conditioning, the theme being VERY introductory. Spends like a minute about actually catching the football at the 24 minute mark.
Jerry is the ultimate wide receiver ...
Bruce
This Jerry Rice program provides the most comprehensive demonstration of wide receiver skills ever and will enable every student of the game to improve his performance ... starting with Jerry's world famous conditioning routine and continuing with: the proper stance; getting off the line; running routes; catching; blocking; practice drills; and teamwork in an extremely entertaining setting including NFL Films action footage. It doesn't get any better!
