DESCRIPTION

During the mid 1900's, the waters off Southern California were as fertile and productive as any on earth. Massive schools of pelagic species invaded the bite each season. Tuna, marlin, makos, threshers and swordfish swarmed around Catalina and San Clemente Islands, giving the resident white sea bass, yellowtail, bass, barracuda and bonita a run for their money. With the elimination of the inshore gillnets, the croaker and halibut have made an amazing comback in our waters. And, when conditions are right, the offshore fishing can be incredible. Join us as we battle local marlin, yellowfin, dorado and hit a few kelp patties for some yellowtail, all within five miles of the beach.

As our waters rolled over, the giant Humboldt squid moved in, with rods going bendo from Long Beach to San Diego. In Your Face! is Southern California fishing at its best.
