DESCRIPTION Istvan Kristof, president of the Hungarian Circus Arts Foundation, presents the best talents form the eastern and western world. This biennial festival has now become one of the most important festivals of its kind in the world. It takes place in the State Circus in Budapest, a circus with a long tradition. It was first built by Ede Wulff in 1889. Today's building was opened in 1971 and, to date, has hosted over 14,000 spectacles and drawn more than 20 million visitors. This year, more than 30 acts from every corner of the globe guarantee maximum quality and great entertainment. Among the many performers in competition for the Golden Pierrot: Rodion Troupe at the Russian bar, Tianjin Troupe with a breathtaking jar juggling performance, and the Dozau Troupe at the springboards. Among the solo artists: the famous Cuban juggler Rafael de Carlos, Roman Tomanov at the aerial straps and Dimitriy Prudnikov performing powerful verticalism, to name just a few.
