The show is named after the host and creator Erik Berlin, but his friends call him "Egg". "Egg" is a 23-year-old graduate from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, school of hotel/restaurant management. Frustrated at the way young people and college students rely on fast food and dining hall convenience for their nutritional needs, he set out to create an environment in which food preparation was easy, fun, and inexpensive.
