DESCRIPTION Security Life is a film about three rock climbers who face old age and with it the realization that their stories of adventurous youth are only as accurate as their decaying memories. Still, without the ability to be active, looking back and piecing together their virile youth through a series of twisted recollections is the men's new favorite pastime. Fred, Ed and Scott spend the last part of their lives reminiscing about big wall, trad, sport and bouldering experiences throughout the American West. They move together through a landscape of flashbacks, hallucinations, and dreams of their climbing experiences until each man is ready to move on to the next great adventure. This is Cartel Production's second film, their first, Hostile Takeover, premiered in 2002.
