Climbing Video: MX

DESCRIPTION
"MX" showcases four visionary mixed climbers from the United States at the extreme end of their sport - leashless mixed climbing. The climbers express their love for the sport and demonstrate spectacular climbing ability with leashless first ascents throughout Colorado. The climbing is steep and the footage spectacular, even the classic pure ice climb The Designator in Vail is showcased like never before. Relax your mind to landscape scenery from the Icefields Parkway in Canada as well as Colorado's winter wonderland. The film also contains footage of Vail's test piece Lucky M11 as well as ice bouldering in Cascade Creeks overhanging drips and smears. Dr. Funkenstien is sure to get you pumped up with his first ever EXTREME RAP "Red River Spew" -- a beta rap of working a route that's cut to a fall scene so insane it will leave you with wanting more.

Cast: Rich Purnell, Eric Malmgren, Sven Krebs and Ryan Nelson.

MX was a finalist at the 2003 Banff Mountain Film Festival for "Best Climbing Film."

Average Customer Review:
Cool but not the whole shabang
Gustav
The technical quality is a bit poor and it looks a bit oldschool, but it's still a good movie. The climbers are good and innovative, and if you're into mixclimbing it's all good.
