Primitive Wilderness Skills, Applied - is a documentary that covers many of the skills that John & Geri currently teach to the US Special Operations community (John, a former Paratrooper and disabled VN vet, served eight years in two elite, specialized units during 1964-1972). This is not a How-to instructional. How to accomplish most of these various skills is covered in their own specialized 1-2 hour videos (www.prairiewolf.net). This was shot to illustrate the actual field application of the various skills because most students of this subject have no wilderness experience whatsoever and therefore no idea of how, why, where and in what sequence these skills would fit in. In this modern age a true wilderness survival situation with no resources readily available (ie; string, knife, fire, containers) most times has to be created. The observer can and will learn some skills from this viewing but it's purpose is to illustrate application, not to teach "how-to".
